JAMES OWSTON

James Owston is a Birmingham based double bassist and a highly active member of the UK Jazz scene.

In 2018 James performed at the Queen Elizabeth Hall as a Finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician Award.

In 2019 James made his debut as a Composer which has led to collaborations with across the UK and America.

Pacific Jazz is a collection of musicians that traces it's roots back to the Trumpet pub in Bilston in the 1980's.

Gathered together by original band member, Charlie Wright, the band line-up reads like a Who's Who of the best of current UK Jazz talent, any one of whom could command top billing but playing together promises to be a musical event not to be missed.

A very highly regarded jazz guitarist, B D Lenz is over from New York on a short UK tour. Described by the New York Times he "fuses jazz and rock ....with warm chords of  funk, soul and rhythm and blues."

Accompanied by special guest Alex Clarke, one of the UK's most exciting saxophonists and 2020 Young Jazz Musician of the Year finalist. This promises to be one not to miss.
